About
Who am I?
Hi my name is Amelia Burton and I am a health and fitness coach from Sydney, Australia. I have been in the fitness industry for 12 years and a fitness nut my entire life.
Since completing a Science degree, majoring in Human Movement, I have enjoyed a career as a personal trainer, health club owner and corporate speaker. I have personal trained people from all walks of life (including Barry Humphries, Alex Lloyd), helping thousands of people to achieve their health and fitness goals. I am the personal trainer to Matt Preston from Masterchef (channel 10), who may be my biggest challenge yet! I am also the Health and Fitness Expert on Mornings with Kerri-Anne (channel 9).
As for my personal health and fitness, I am a marathon runner, love boxing, weights, spin classes, Pump, horse riding (3 day eventing) and skiing. I am terrible at ball sports and a chicken when it comes to cold water! My secret weapon for health is fresh fruit, vegies and my Juice Plus supplement!
My philosophy
I see fitness as a training platform that can improve all areas of life. Confidence grows when achievements are made. Fitness allows people to develop themselves in areas other than work, or home life. The fun, physical outlet adds a third dimension which can drastically change a person’s enjoyment of life. What excites me the most is witnessing the mental transformation when clients reach new physical levels. Self discipline, commitment, determination, ability to cope with challenges and pressure are just some of the skills that clients develop, not to mention all the physical improvements! My training philosophy: Feel the burn, love the burn!
