Do You Have Trouble Getting To Sleep? Meditation Podcasts to Get You To Relax

If you have trouble getting to sleep, or need some new meditation material, this video blog gives you some podcast tips! My personal favorites are Meditation Oasis. Go into the Itunes store, click on podcasts and search for Meditation Oasis. It’s narrated by Mary Maddox who has a lovely soft voice. Just be careful you don’t wake up with the ipod cord wrapped around your neck!

It’s so interesting how music can affect our mood and mental state. The body’s response to external factors is amazing! thanks for the tip!

Hi Ben,
I couldn’t agree more. Our bodies are designed to react to outside stimulus and when we live in this over stimulating world, no wonder we have trouble switching off!

Hi Amelia, we miss you at the gym! I’ve been getting into lots of meditation and relaxation music and thought I’d mention “pzizz” software which is fantastic, available for Mac and Windows. I’m not affiliated at all … just find it really helpful. Hope you’re enjoying your Barry tour. Take care!

Hi Jennifer,
I still feel that meditation will help your situation. Hormones certainly play a huge part in sleeping patterns, but there is still a lot you can do:
Ensure you are sleeping in a quiet place with no noises (such as cars) to disturb you.
Make sure you are not too hot (most of us sleep with way too much coverage).
Meditate before you go to sleep so that you mind isn’t filled with your thoughts.
Try to go to sleep and wake up at the same time every night/morning.
Don’t eat a large/heavy dinner. that can affect your quality of sleep.
Keep at it, sleep is so important for optimal health,
Amelia

I also find that sleeping in a room that is devoid of clutter, and doesn’t have a TV or stereo in it, is much more conducive to a good nights sleep.

Hi Peter,

Good point. A clean uncluttered room makes a huge difference. A friend once told me that a tv in the bedroom kills all romance!

reading really works well for me. Winds me right down and sometimes I don’t even get past the first page

Hi Daniel,

Me too! It once took me year to get through one book!
I’m sure if it was your fat loss tips book, I’d be much more interested!
