Hi Jessica,

Yes it will have a very similar effect on teenagers. Because your body is still in the developmental your body is very susceptible to hormonal variations. Please be very careful of external stimulants and seek professional advice if you suspect you might be an adrenalin junkie.

Hi PeterJ,
Your productivity should not be affected by your adrenalin. You can certainly be very productive but relaxed at the same time. It's much better for your health.
Many athletes strive for this 'working zone' and I think we should aim for it at work also.

Hi Daryl,
Adrenanlin can be both a blessing and a curse. When referring to sports it is absolutely necessary to have that adrenalin response. Just use breathing and positive self talk to keep it channelled in the right direction.

As for Adrenalin at work, provided you have a physical outlay such as a lunchtime workout, it wont be affecting your long term health.

Lay off the coffees, use deep breathing, and keep up the good work with your lunchtime classes.

Hmmm I do find that I need to get "geed up" and tend to only be productive at work when I am on a high heart rate. Does this make me an adrenaluine junkie? Probably, but i love that coffee!

What methods do you recommend to better utilize adrenalin response?
1/ in sport when you need the adrenalin to boost performance
2/ to be more focused at work, when adrenalin hits can be disruptive
