Very interesting. I did the test and ended up as a Protein type, which i wouldn't have guessed cause I thought I preferred carbs. I do feel quite tired when I eat a lot of carbs such as pasta or rice though. Thanks for the enlightening article.

Curious... according to this, I should be eating more carbs. This may explain all the issues I have had since moving to a high protein diet the last 3 weeks!

Tahnks Amelia!

Hi Amelia, I've just hooked into your blog - really interesting info! Thanks! I'm not surprised to have come out with a profile 2, protein type...I've always felt better when proteins are high in my diet. Just a question though - generally I try and avoid sugary foods, but I eat A LOT of fruit and vegetables - mainly apples and carrots. I know they are quite high in sugar, and so I'm trying to cut right down, but I do find them good to snack on when studying or as a dessert. What is your position on natural sugars found in fruit and vegetables? How concerned should I be to cut down on my intake of these? Thanks!

Hi Amelia

Just the did the test and got the type 2 (Protein). No surprises there. All I seem to crave is meat- mainly poultry and carbohydrates (rice). I never seem to crave fruit or vegetables and I find it difficult to implement then in my diet as much as I try.

Following the protein diet- do you think that 50% is excessive? I know there are other alternatives for protein other than meat (legumes, nuts, seeds & seafood {allergic}) but surely a diet of 50% protein would mean a significant amount of animal products that would be considered unhealthy raising risk of bowel cancers & the like??

Hi Joe, I did the metabolic test and I am profile 2.
I am a little confused as I have been told that because I am blood type A that I should eat almost like a vegetarian, no red meat etc, whereas profile 2 allows me to have meat etc. Can you please help? Thank you, Gail

hi
i take juice plus and am very happy with it. I am thinking about eating for my metabolic type. Will the combination of different vegetables and fruits in juice plus taken daily affect the metabolic typing diet where you shouldn't eat certain carbohydrates on with other certain foods.
